ASTM D4541-17 Standard Test Method for Pull-Off Strength of Coatings Using Portable Adhesion Testers AuthorASTM International Year2017 Sourcehttps://www.astm.org/d4541-17.html LanguageEnglish 2642LUMiFracLFracThis test method covers a procedure for evaluating the pull-off strength (commonly referred to as adhesion) of a coating system from metal substrates. Pull-off strength of coatings from concrete is described in Test Method D7234. This test offers two test protocols. Protocol 1 (test to fracture) determines the greatest perpendicular force (in tension) that a surface area can bear before a plug of material is detached. Protocol 2 (pass/fail) determines if the coated surface remains intact at a defined load criteria. Fracture will occur along the weakest plane within the system comprised of the test fixture 7 more gluecoating systemand substrateand will be exposed by the fracture surface. This test method maximizes tensile stress as compared to the shear stress applied by other methodssuch as scratch or knife adhesionand results may not be comparable. The procedure in this standard was developed for metal substratesbut may be appropriate for other rigid substrates such as plastic and wood. Factors such as loading rate and flexibility of the substrate must be addressed by the user/specifier. Adhesion Analyser More details Internal reference2642 Open publication →
AVALIAÇÃO DA ATIVIDADE E ESTABILIDADE DA LISOZIMA DA CLARA DE OVO SUBMETIDA AO TRATAMENTO COM CAMPO MAGNÉTICO AuthorPalloma Rodrigues de Lima Year2017 SourceDissertação submetida ao Programa de Pós - Graduação em Engenharia de Alimentos da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina para a obtenção do Grau de Mestre em Engenharia de Alimentos LanguagePortuguese Pages1-80 estabilidade física das soluções e tamanho das partículasLSPSDPSA 19 more In this contextthis work aims to evaluate the effects of the magnetic field and the operational conditions on the catalytic activity of the egg white lysozymea protein very used as a model for its wide availability and detailed knowledge about its native structure. The pH and the magnetic field showed a significant effect on lysozyme activity at the highest pH value for the most strongly alkaline range (13.7) and a magnetic field with the highest magnetic flux density (1.34 T) allowed to achieve a residual specific activity of 212%i.e. an increase of three times the original specific activity of the enzyme. The results suggest that the activation of lysozyme caused by the magnetic treatment may be related to the changes of the a-helix content in the secondary structureand with the average particle size increasefacilitating the substrate access to the enzyme active site. As changes in the natural state of lysozyme pH function and the ionic strength in the solutions resulted in an increase of the average particle size and small changes on the zeta potential.
